Objective
To create clay sculpture portraits, from imagination, without using a referring picture.

Professionals, hobbyists, business executives, housewives, and kids age 7+.

Scope
- Medium: Clay.
- Sketch, drawing, and shading fundamentals: Clay, drawing and shading tools, techniques, and methods, source of light, the concept of light & shadow, cast shadow, form shading (mid tone, high lights & dark tone), and direction of the gradation.
- Face study: Eyes, nose, lips, hair, face profile from the front as well as side pose.
- Sculpturing: Armature for sculpting a head, eye, nose, lips, ear, hair, and face profile.
Duration
Approximately 8 hours of classroom time, which is covered in 1 day
Classroom
1 session for 8+ hours, at a mutually agreed day and time.
Home Assignments & Doubt Clearing Sessions
The home assignments and the related reference pictures will be shared after each classroom session. Home assignments and self-practice are critical for the success of the course and will tentatively consume triple the classroom time.
